Relaxed 2-day train journey with Aguas Calientes hotel overnight, early morning citadel tour, and Circuit 1 or 2.

For accommodations in Cusco's historic center with vehicle access, our tourist transport arrives as close as legally permitted. Due to Cusco's colonial pedestrian alleys, if your hotel is on a narrow stone walkway, we wait at the nearest corner (usually 1/2 to 1 block away). We coordinate with you via WhatsApp/phone in advance, and our assistant welcomes you at the vehicle.
Lodging outside the center? If your hotel or Airbnb is outside the historic center perimeter, meeting is coordinated at a central landmark (such as Plaza Regocijo).
Need dedicated walking escort right to your door or pickup outside the historic center? Select Boutique Private in the booking card above.
Designed for families, mature travelers, and couples who want to experience the wonder of Machu Picchu at a restful, deeply rewarding pace. Instead of a hurried 4:30 AM departure from Cusco, take an afternoon scenic train through the Sacred Valley canyon to Aguas Calientes. Sleep in a handpicked 3-star boutique hotel, awake refreshed, and ascend by bus to the Inca citadel before the midday tourist crowds arrive. Features guaranteed official Circuit 1 or 2 entrance permits and option for panoramic Vistadome train return.

Depart Cusco or your Sacred Valley hotel in the early afternoon, driving through the dramatic Urubamba corridor to Ollantaytambo station. Board the scenic train alongside the roaring Vilcanota River into the subtropical cloud forest. Arrive in Aguas Calientes, check in to your hotel, and spend the evening dining at local cafes, shopping at the artisan handicraft market, or soaking in the natural thermal hot springs.
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before boarding the 25-minute Consettur bus winding up the mountainside to the ancient citadel. Enter Machu Picchu under the soft morning light. Your collegiate guide leads you through the Temple of the Sun, Sacred Plaza, Intihuatana sundial sector, and the iconic agricultural terrace viewpoints for the classic postcard photo. In the afternoon, return by bus to Aguas Calientes and board your return train (Expedition or Vistadome upgrade) back to Ollantaytambo, where our private driver transfers you directly to your hotel in Cusco.
