DASPE TRAVEL E.I.R.L. ("Daspe Travel", "we", "us") is a travel agency and tour operator registered in Cusco, Peru, RUC 20601588219, licensed by DIRCETUR Cusco. We operate the website https://daspetravel.com.

We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us about any privacy matter at [email protected] or +51 926 415 460.

02What Information We Collect

We only collect what we need to answer your enquiry and operate your trip:

• Enquiry data: the name, email address and message you submit through a form on this website, plus the trip preferences you select in the Trip Planner (regions, pace, duration, party size and travel window).
• Booking data: once you decide to travel with us, the full name, passport number, nationality and date of birth of each traveler, plus a passport copy. Machu Picchu permits, Inca Trail permits and train tickets are nominative under Peruvian law, so these details are legally required to issue them.
• Health and dietary information you choose to disclose so that we can operate your trip safely, including allergies, dietary requirements and conditions relevant to high-altitude travel.
• Audiovisual material captured during the tour, which under our Terms & Conditions we may use for marketing unless you tell us in writing not to.
• Technical data: anonymous, aggregated analytics about which pages are visited, collected only after you consent to analytics cookies.

We do not sell personal data, we do not run advertising profiling on this website, and we do not share your information with data brokers.

03Why We Process It

• To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
• To issue entrance permits, train tickets and accommodation bookings: performance of the contract and compliance with Peruvian tourism regulations.
• To operate your trip safely, including health and dietary information: your explicit consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
• To keep invoicing and tax records: compliance with a legal obligation under Peruvian law.
• To use tour photography for marketing: our legitimate interest, which you can object to in writing at any time, before or after the trip.
• To measure anonymous website usage: your consent, given through the cookie banner.

04Contacting Us via WhatsApp

Several buttons on this site open a pre-filled message in WhatsApp. When you send that message you are communicating through WhatsApp, a service operated by Meta Platforms, and your message and phone number are processed under the WhatsApp privacy policy in addition to ours.

If you prefer not to use WhatsApp, every page offers email as an equivalent route, and the enquiry form on this site sends your request directly to our team without involving any third-party messaging service.

05Who We Share Data With

We share the minimum necessary personal data with the suppliers required to deliver your trip. Our Terms & Conditions describe the Agency as an organized intermediary for these third-party services:

• The Peruvian Ministry of Culture and SERNANP, to issue Machu Picchu and Inca Trail permits.
• Rail operators such as PeruRail and IncaRail, bus companies, and domestic airlines, to issue nominative tickets.
• Hotels, lodges and homestay hosts named in your itinerary.
• Our payment processors when you pay by card, bank transfer, PayPal or Western Union. We never see or store your full card number.

Because your trip takes place in Peru, delivering it necessarily involves transferring your data to suppliers located in Peru. If you are in the EU or the UK, that transfer is necessary for the performance of your contract with us.

06How Long We Keep It

• Enquiries that do not become bookings: deleted within 24 months of the last contact.
• Booking and traveler records: retained for the period required by Peruvian tax and tourism law, currently 5 years from the end of the tax year.
• Passport copies: deleted within 90 days of your trip ending, once all permits are reconciled.
• Health and dietary notes: deleted within 90 days of your trip ending.

07Your Rights

Wherever you are, you can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. If you are in the EU, the UK or another jurisdiction with equivalent legislation, you additionally have the right to data portability, the right to object to processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We respond within 30 days. We never charge you for making a request, and we never treat you differently for having made one.

08Cookies

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website, which the site can read again on a later visit. Some are necessary for the site to work; others simply save you from entering the same information twice.

This website sets no cookies and loads no third-party scripts until you make a choice in the cookie banner.

• Strictly necessary: one cookie recording your cookie choice, and one storing your selected display currency. These are set without consent because the site cannot function correctly without them.
• Analytics: anonymous, aggregated page-view measurement, loaded only if you select Accept. You can withdraw this at any time by clearing your site data in your browser.

We do not use advertising, remarketing or cross-site tracking cookies on this website. You can also block cookies entirely in your browser settings, under Privacy or Site settings in any current browser.

09Children

This website is not directed at children. We only process a minor's personal data when a parent or legal guardian provides it as part of a family booking, and only in order to operate that trip. Our Terms & Conditions place full responsibility for minors with the parent or legal guardian.

10Changes to This Policy

When we make a material change to this policy we update the date shown at the top of this page. Where the change affects how we use data you have already given us, we contact you directly.
