Pickup at 4:30 AM from your Cusco hotel. Drive through the Limatambo valley to Mollepata for a hearty hot breakfast. Continue to Soraypampa campsite (3,900m). Begin the 1.5 to 2-hour uphill trek along glacial moraine trails to the turquoise jewel of Laguna Humantay. Spend an hour admiring the hanging glacier of Mt. Salkantay and participating in a traditional Pachamama (Mother Earth) offering. Descend to Soraypampa, enjoy a delicious hot lunch, and return to Cusco by 5:30 PM.
