We would rather you knew this before you book than after you cancel. Peru issues Machu Picchu permits, Inca Trail permits and train tickets in the traveler's name, and the law does not allow them to be refunded or resold. That single fact shapes everything below.

A booking is confirmed with a 50% deposit, and that deposit is not refundable. If you cancel after paying in full, we do not return cash: we hand you every ticket and voucher already issued in your name. This is why we consider travel insurance essential.
The outcome depends on how far the booking has progressed, not on how many days remain before departure.

| No show, or missing original passport / ID | 100% of the service value lost | Entrance control in Peru is nominative and requires the original document. Arriving without it, or not arriving at the scheduled time, means the full value of the service is lost with no right to a refund. |

When you pay, we immediately buy things on your behalf that carry your name: the Machu Picchu entrance permit for a specific date and circuit, the train seat, the Inca Trail permit. Peruvian regulation makes these non-refundable and non-transferable the moment they are issued.
So if you cancel, rather than keeping money for tickets you paid for, we hand them over. You keep the assets; we are released from the operational side of the service, which means the guide, the private transport and the meals are not refunded, because those were contracted and accrued on your behalf as well.
Email [email protected] with your booking reference and the full name of the lead traveler. We reply in writing confirming which tickets and vouchers we are releasing to you, normally within one business day.
If Daspe Travel cancels a departure for a reason within our control, such as not reaching the minimum number of travelers, you choose between a full refund of everything you have paid or a transfer of the full amount to another date or another tour. The no-refund rules above apply only to cancellations by the Customer and to force majeure.
