Combine an amazing Machu Picchu tour with well known places such Chinchero, Maras, Moray, Salineras de Maras and Ollantaytambo – pearls of the Sacred Valley from the Incas era! Spend 2 incredible days in spectacular spots around the Cusco region.

Day 1: CHINCHERO - MORAY - SALINERAS - OLLANTAYTAMBO - AGUAS CALIENTES
This 1st day will definitely be more than just your average excursion. It is a great and unforgettable adventure, full of different activities as exciting as inspiring ! On this day, we’ll visit various archaeological Inca sites near Cusco, unique salt mines in Maras and the mystical circular terraced bowls of Morya. We’ll also learn a lot about local textiles handcrafting and meet members of the local community. It will be truly surprising. how many things there are to do and discover here in just one day. Enjoy a wealth of new experiences, culture and tradition.
We’ll have about an hour drive to our first destination, Chinchero, where we’ll visit the Inca ruins then watch a local handcrafting workshop.
We’ll then continue to Chinchero to explore the archaeological site of Moray, which are Inca ruins consisting of several circular terraced bowls created for agricultural purposes.
From Moray we’ll head to our next destination, Maras. There, we’ll get to know more about one of the most popular Andean drink production, the chicha de Jora (corn beer), and take time for a walk through the beautiful streets of this Andean settlement.
Salineras de Maras
After Maras we’ll continue towards the incredible salt ponds, which have been in use since the Inca times. Following an easy path, we’ll reach the salt ponds in about one hour, by foot. On the way we’ll have a spectacular view of the “Cordillera Urubamba” mountains. Once at the salt mines, we’ll have the chance to walk through the salt ponds. Surrounded by more than 3000 of them, learn more about salt production and see how Inca practices and traditions are still used today.
We’re aiming to reach Ollantaytambo at 4pm. There, we’ll explore the last Inca site of the day, the Ollantaytambo ruins which were built in the shape of a Lama and are one of the most impressive in the region. The beauty of the places we visit on this day is that they are all very different and give us a good overview of the different styles of the ancient Inca architecture.
After a short walk through the ruins and a detour through the most spectacular parts of the city, we’ll take the train at 7 pm to Aguas Calientes, where we’ll get time to relax before heading to the Machu Picchu the next day. The estimated time of arrival in Aguas Calientes is approx. 9:15 pm.

Day 2: MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO
Day 2 is dedicated to exploring the lost Inca city, Machu Picchu – Peru’s most famous site. There are several options available within the ruins. You can climb one of the peaks, the Huayna Picchu or the Machu Picchu Mountain (There is an extra fee for this which is not included in the tour), walk to the famous Sun Gate and/or walk to the Inca Bridge.
We’ll start the Machu Picchu visit from Aguas Calientes, where you can either get an early bus to get to the site’s entrance (there is an extra fee for this which is not included in the package price) or walk or up to it by taking part in a 1-1.5 hours trek. Once inside, we’ll get a guided tour for about hours, wish we’ll give us an overview of the Inca culture and history as well as the spiritual, political and educational values of the Machu Picchu. Once the tour ends, we’ll get time to visit the site by our self until 5pm (we can also leave the site before then if you wish).
After visiting the ruins, take the bus back to Aguas Calientes (with this option an additional charge for the bus ticket is required) or on foot (about 1 – 1.5 hours), from where you take the train to Ollantaytambo. You will arrive in Ollantaytambo at 8:20 pm. In Ollantaytambo our bus will wait to take you back to Cusco. The bus arrives around 10:30 pm.
